That sucks Corrilly although to be fair imagine yourself in the situation of that tiny lizard who had it's head stuck and couldn't see. Your survival instincts would kick in the moment something touched you because in nature if you can't tell if it's a friendly or a predator if you wait you might end up dead.

I just hope your arm heals up alright.

Wikipedia says second largest in Australia. But I won't argue over their being a bit bigger than our iguanas. Though not by a lot. From what I read the body size is pretty similar but your monitors have longer tails. Whatever. They're both too big for bunnies to fight.

Though I found an iguana about 4 feet long the other day that apparently had been hit by a car the night before and had a broken leg. It was lying in the middle of the street so I (thinking it was dead actually) tried to pick it up around the belly to put it off in the bushes and it whipped me with it's tail and hissed. So next try I got behind it and picked it up by a thick part of its tail and carried it over to the bushes and settled it in. It never tried to swing around to bite me or anything so it might have been worse hurt than I thought. It was gone the next day though. I hope off to it's den to recover.
