FC the Review and other thoughts

What can I say? FC has been a tradition for years now so there is a lot about that isn't new. Often I look forward to the trip ridding down with Flinters and company but only this time, I was fighting tooth and claw not to get sick like last time and for the most of it I did. I had only had minor coughing and sniffles as compared to a full on flu that did me in last year- never again. I came prepared with ear plugs and NyQuil to help knock me out each night both at the con and during the trip and it worked very well. Windscar and Singha were both gracious and their private photoshoots were no bother- fascinating even.
High Points:
The Trip To/From: I have to be honest, just the time riding down with Flinters and whomever comes with is something I look forward to. This year was with Squic, Tyrnn (my roommate), and Tibo, with Flinters at the wheel per usual. I'll be a honest, I'm a Night Owl and because of my work schedule, I don't get to talk with these individuals very often so its great to reconnect.
Thursday: Getting my Tigerdile Jersey from BrooklynX. I loved it and it greatly helped other people identify me. Over the course of the con, I had 3 strangers (now acquaintances) pull me aside to give kind feedback about my art and BlowUp N' ShowUp. Seriously, I have never before gotten feedback in person about my art. Having anything of a fan is new to me but then again I'm a new artist still.
Sunday (Aka: My Birthday): Yeah.... Friday and Saturday were..... bland. It's not to say nothing happened but rather it's just what I expected of Furcon, the same panels, the same events, prioritizing which panels or events to attend but almost nothing except for the kind feedback mentioned previously, was memorable. So onto Sunday. I virtually spend every birthday at Furcon which is awesome but a problem as well because me and my dad have the same birthday (Jan 18th) and I know deep down they want to at least spend that day together one of these years and I hope it happens. Anyway, I had hopes for this day too because there are always a couple folks whom I would to have a conversation or interaction with before likely I won't see them for another year at least. It's always a bit stressful knowing this is your last day of the con and haven't seen a sign of any them this whole time. It weasn't till late afternoon that everything started turning awesome. I randomly go to visit the pool and behold: Shinden, JacFox, Cupric, and Acru we're playing in the pool and recognized me right away. After taking care of some photoshoot business, I grabbed my trunks and hopped in the pool. It was about 2 good hours of fun and I couldn't he happier just to goof around with these folks. I wish the lot of them a swell time as they move over to Indiana.
There was still one item on my list. It was someone I wanted to meet before he goes back across the pond as we commonly say. I don't like to admit that I have "rockstars" in my life as I feel it kind of sheepish and in way, reminds how I was when I was first in the fandom (like many starting out, super awkward). It was nightfall in the last hours before I had to sleep and leave early in the morning back home. I knew he was here but I also knew, he likes to suit and share suits with others so there was no guarantee that If saw one of his suits that it was actually him inside.. Anyway, I decided to give it one last shut but this time, I would dawn the guise of the new Heyyoo Bunny suit I remade and hang out in the headless lounge and the rest was history. He was there talking with Rubbertex outside behind the lounge. Yes, Deezleberries is one of those "Rockstars" in my life. One of these kind when the day, I saw him watching me back on FA, I had to use both hands to stifle my "OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG!" freakouts. He is someone who has been in CG industry but also uses his skills in suit-making which is a huge inspiration to what I do now with BlowUp N' ShowUp. Just an hour back and forth on various subjects was more than I could ask for and greatly outshined Friday and Saturday. I was satisfied.
Overall, Furcon was still good despite being well, Furcon. Its predictable which at this point works against its favor but now I have an idea of what I can do to get more out of it next time. I wan't to get Ballooonatic, the mascot of BnS made to wear him around during the down times of the con. Having fun while promoting what I do would definitely pick the mood up. At the very least, I wan't get a hockey jersey made for BnS as the Tigerdile one surely made a big difference in allowing people to find me.
We'll it back to the grind but having these projects gives me the spark to get stuff organized and/or clean- heck, my car hasn't looked so clean in the such a long while- the apartment is next. Thanks to all who pulled me aside for the kind works. It fills up the empty paranoish space that was formerly silence. It makes a big difference having some kind of reassurance.

Deez is a cool guy, weve spent several hour chatting on suit stuff.
