Do people still play pencil and paper role playing games?

General
Around forty years ago, D&D came out, and the art of make believe and story telling was reborn.
I stll have most of my books even though I don't play them anymore, but if you are still a player of the games.

I design RPG's, publish RPGS, write supplements and adventures for other people's games. D&D novels and al that jazz. Got GENESTORM coming out in the next month or two.
Original D&D is alive and well, BTW! Several different groups have cleaned up the rules and republished, or published their own twists on them. The result has been some utterly marvellous work, and storytelling galore.

So much cool sttuff out there!
I've played a lot of other games before and alongside that too, and listen to numerous podcasts about the hobby as well. Many of them deal with D&D, as well as a whole host of other games.
It makes me feel good knowing something I've loved very much since I was a kid loves me, too. I was born the year D&D came out (1974) and it's had a huge impact on my life. I wouldn't be here or be with my partners if it wasn't for D&D and my love of tabletop gaming so seeing how it's thriving makes me so happy.
Me, after a hard day at the work place and if I'm not playing with art, or visiting the deer, I like to play the slot machines that are offered from Zimga, WMS, along with some few others.
Both are fun and are played weekly.
Though in recent years I've taken up the tabletop wargaming (Firestorm Armada, Monsterpocalypse, Axis & Allies War at Sea, X-wing), so I don't play RPG's as much as I used to.
