Hit hard by a bloody flu that crippled me for a week and yet I've been too and from work anyway as seemingly they can't do squat right there without me. Own car is out of order but I have my parents 4X4 so snow isn't bothering me.

I for one am very glad I don't have to drive in the winter, although I guess it's been dry enough that it's not a big deal. Still, though. Ever since that near-crash a couple years ago, been kind of afraid to try again. xD

Indispensible maybe but given the place is missmanaged beyond belief by an owner that thinks the world works as he imagines it and gets furious when it does not, it isn't a good place to work at anyway. I'm the common sense that has to be everywhere to keep it all from falling appart. Am behind his back taking over my parents home biz and ramping that up and when it carries itself I'll walk out immediately.

As for driving this winter, it hasn't been that bad. Snow hasn't been very abundant this winter. And yeah car crashes are scary. Sibling totalled his Peugeot a while back in winter.

As hot as it can be here, I am glad I'm going through Summer rather than Winter right now

*Head's off to work, get's halfway there while walking and sees a snowflake hit the floor*

*Is hit with a sudden blizzard that last for 40 minutes before disappearing, just as I reach work*

I live in North Texas, winter doesn't exist here. It just gets cold and windy from November to February, then freezes a few nights in March.

That is so strange to imagine. What's "cold" for you?

About thirty, fourty degrees, lower in the coldest months, and it gets a bit windy. I was mostly kidding, though, there is actually some winter here, mostly freezes and brief snows, but I grew up in Washington State, so the winters here are pretty tame by comparison.

I love winter (born and raised in northern NY), so I can't complain. Though, having an AWD car with snow tires probably helps. I imagine winter is less charming when you're fishtailing into oblivion on poorly maintained roads.

Yes. Yes, it is far less charming. Especially when that fishtailing nearly leads you into a school bus, a telephone pole, and another car. 8I I haven't driven in the winter since.

I don't like winter, and I don't like cold. Winter is just some time which eventually passes if I grit my teeth and be patient.

It's good, but it's been a chilly one! And the forecast temperature for Monday continues to drop. We're now expecting a low of -23°C Monday night. Wheee! :P

WEHEEE. I think we've only hit -23 once so far because Toronto is a wimpy city. Mostly we just get wind.

I'd recommend one of those electric travel mugs so you can keep it plugged into your car's lighter socket until you get to wherever you park. That should keep it plenty hot!

I deal the same as you, here in Idaho its crapy too. BUT we did get our January thaw, now that Febuary is here we will return to our regulary schedule WINTER STORMS.
