SAI HALP!!!! DX

General
This is a TOTALLY annyoing-as-hell problem I've got. Easy Paint Tool SAI has totally stopped smoothing the lines when I go to ink. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, unplugging and re-plugging my tablet and NOTHING seems to get it to work. I can click on every setting under the "smoothing" drop-down menu and it still acts as though set to zero. I was finally going to be able to ink like the pros, and now that idea has been shot down.
If someone knows what's causing this issue, PLEASE let me know how to fix it! It's a VITAL tool that I need to step-up my artistic performance a couple notches D:
EDIT: It was me trying to use SAI at the same time as Photoshop. There's a battle for the system processes that read the pressure points on the tablet between both programs, and when open, eventually Photoshop will win over SAI and have complete control of the tablet.

FA+

sorry
I've never really used tablets before, but I find that most input devices work in just about the same way. If I had that SAI program, I could help more, but unfortunately I don't. You could try looking through the SAI tool's "Preferences" or "Settings" panel (whichever it has) and see if it has a special section for input devices, or even more particularly, a special tablet section.
Oh, and one last thought: Windows usually will lists any sort of mouse, joystick, gamepad, or any other input device in the control panel, and you can run calibrations on them from there. Try the "Mouse" section or the "Game Controllers" section. You should be able to open up some sort of properties or configuration window and properly calibrate the pointer.
If it's not in either of those the most you can do is just hope to troubleshoot the device for problems. From the control panel, go into System, Hardware tab, Device Manager button, and then look in either "Mice and Other Pointing Devices" or "Human Interface Devices" for your tablet. Then just right-click it and select properties, hit troubleshoot and follow the guide. Doubt it'll actually help you, but on a few rare occasions, it does.
Yes, this is officially my longest FA post. Hope it's of some use to you. lol
