Question to all you computer techs out there..Graphic cards
16 years ago
I have 2 ati radeon 3650 hd 1G cards and i would like to hook them both up using
the crossfire method.Now i have a couple of questions about this first
1)i imagine i will need a bridge?(found the right one but haven't gotten it yet)
2)The cards are both PCI-e but my Motherboard has just 1 Pci-e 16x and one 1x.
Too get these to work do i need to have two pci-E 16x on my Motherboard?

also requirements here
* PCI Express® based PC is required with one X16 lane graphics slot available on the motherboard
* 400 Watt or greater power supply (550 Watt for dual ATI CrossFireX™) recommended
* Certified power supplies are recommended
* 1GB of system memory recommended
* Installation software requires an optical drive
* DVD playback requires a DVD drive
* Blu-ray™ / HD DVD playback requires a Blu-ray / HD DVD drive
* For a complete ATI CrossFireX™ system, a second ATI Radeon™ HD 3600 series graphics card, an ATI CrossFireX Ready motherboard and one ATI CrossFireX Bridge Interconnect cable is required
doesn't say that you have to have 2 x16 PCI express cardslots however.. i am unsure.
Give me your computer configuration (processor, memory, power supply, etc) and I'll help you to found a good motherboard at a good price.
Because you really need to change your motherboard to have the 2 cards working.
