As of 1 hour and less than 30 minutes into this new month, I lost my mother to cardiac arrest. The eerie thing is that yesterday was my father's birthday and he also passed away from cardiac arrest (though not on his birthday). I just got the call maybe 20 minutes ago. The worst thing is that all of my friends are asleep right now, compared to when my dad passed and I could vent on AIM.

I'm an orphan now. Yeah I was expecting it in the near future, but not this soon. We're talking more like a year or two from now.

My sister's coming down as soon as she can so we can take care of releasing mom's body and clearing up her apartment. I guess I'm still in shock about all of this.
