So firstly I thank everyone who said kind words while my father was in the hospital the past couple of weeks with life threatening conditions. I'm so thankful to say that he has been moved to an in patient rehab for two weeks. So he's getting back to his old self and can probably come home soon.
Secondly I had a terrifying accident THURSDAY night. I had an incident with my gas oven from the 70s.
Left the pilot running (oh god i can't believe i did that) for 10sec then proceeded to open the oven door and light the pilot.
No exaggeration, EXPLODED IN MY FACE AND A GIANT FIREBALL CONSUMED MY HEAD.
Thank everything alive I AM OK. I have some burns on my lips, eyelids, nose and hand. I also lost a portion of my hair and my eyebrows down to the stubble. I'm so thankful that I'm ok and I didn't have to go to the hospital. Or you know, be horribly disfigured for the rest of my life. So other than scabbing and a little mental trauma, I'm going to be fine.
I lost a bunch of work days and I really hope I can make them up in commissions later.
This month....has been the month from hell.
That being said February is going to be better. I just know it. ;m;
I'm finishing up
's fursuit and playing catch up with drawn commissions.
I thank everyone waiting on art or trades for waiting so patiently.

Its really no more than severely chapped nose lips and a lil on my eyelids.
Also I'm lucky I don't use any sort of hair products or I could have lost enough hair to be visible.

Probably be a good idea to get a new oven so you don't have to worry about this again in the future ;w;!!

well, a get well soon to your dad! and maybe you should play the lottery now, before all the good luck vanishes. :)
Protocol for lighting a gas device is: You light the match first, THEN you turn on the gas. Could have been a lot worse. I'm glad it wasn't.

The positive thing is I think I'll get your piece done tonight. It has sooooooo many layers of media on it. I've had to do it in stages so the paper wouldn't disenegrate. Thank you for being so awesome to work for.

Glad your father is on road to recovery (reading other previous journal... glad he recovered from a set of serious issues there, that is great news).
I am happy to hear your situation wasn't any more serious, *whimper*, it used to scare me lighting the gas oven when I was a child (I was scared of matches/flames full stop then). *give a kiss to his finger and puts it gently on you hand, then lip, nose and eyebrow...* hope they get better and you have no issue with any healing.

I am doing well I'm interstate for work... Getting aquatinted with a new area. Sitting in a park here which is rather nice. I am doing well.
