I think on a top view one can see this as a basic social thing. Looking at furries on a whole we are a bunch of social regrets trying to find our place. We never leave the school mentality of things, which means there is normally someone who has to be the bottom of the rankings and in a case where there is a lot less black and white to define people it falls upon what the group as a whole feels is the weirdest or most taboo. So in this case since we are furries and a great deal of furries accept bestiality content at least i in an artistic form it becomes something less looked down upon. Now the hate on diaper furs and cub furs I think stems from what most hate stems from not understanding or really knowing what it is fully. Now diaper furs are at times drastically different from cub furs. To explain some diaper furs only use diapers as a means of water sports etc there is no mental regression involved in the fetish in the least Ive also met people who suffer medically and have to wear the diapers and being a diaper fur alllows them to feel sexy despite having to wear a diaper all the time

Now cub furs are a little different and people have problems understanding this even more. But some cub furs arent in it for a fetish reason. Most just want to regress to a simple time where someone cared for them and they only had to worry about what game to play next. I see this appearing alot for people who have high stress jobs like military etc etc. This aside there are those into it for a fetish reason but from what I understand its about being helpless and needing someone to do everything for you. Sorta like a complete submission of everything about you. But like most stereo types it comes from some where and Im afraid it stems from something and cub porn is around. Is it good that its around personally no I dont think so, but it tends to be you have couple bad apples that like that stuff and the clump the whole bunch into it.
I think it just comes from a need to draw a line to say where do we stop. And people arent going to draw a line where its going to mess with their interest they are going to say what I do is fine but what they do is sick.

That being said I know what you me. Why is bestiality ok and thats not? Why is snuff aka killing someone or and thats not? Its both a ridiculous pattern of thought and a well founded one. The biggest thing people need to learn is not to make assumptions about people they don't know anything about. Just cause they are a cub or diaper fur does not mean the are into or are ok with pedophilia.

Exactly, I have seen people who actually defend people who have partaken in horrible acts of beastiality with their pet dogs but think Diaperfurs and Babyfurs are "too far"......this makes no sense what so ever. I mean my philosophy in life is to not judged a person provided they are harmless, but many would rather defend ACTUAL sexual predators over them.

Ive experienced this as well and Ive also been caught in cases where I was the only one that thought there was a problem with bestiality and felt a bit attacked when I spoke my opinion. They went into gross detail of how their dog gave permission and it was dare I say and experience that changed from so called friendships, but try to defend diaper furs and you might as well be Hitler himself.

I totally agree. Personally, I've seen far more shocking stuff than diapers on FA, yet they get a free pass. I understand if the "messy" art makes some people uncomfortable, but there does exist plenty of diaper art that doesn't involve messing. In fact, a large majority of it is either just cub art or characters that look cute enough to be in diapers despite their older age. It's possible to appreciate diapers for their form rather than their function, you know.

Even still the function thing shouldn't be so harshly judged as it's really not something the effects anyone else. I mean for instance it's not like people with a vore fetish go around actually eating people or stuff like that, yet one is widely accepted and the other isn't.

I know. My point is a lot people assume too much about diaper fetishists. If it's not pedophilia, then it must be scat! You just can't win. My intention wasn't to disparage anyone who is into diapers for their function. In fact, there are people out there who enjoy artwork depicting diapers being used, but not when it shows the actual fecal matter. Diaper fetishism can be really specific, but others like to make these broad assumptions anyway.

I will say though.. people also make the uncomfortable argument about people wearing diaps at cons and in public and stuff.. While I'm a pretty open person and people displaying their interests/sexuality openly doesn't really bother me, I think you just gotta keep other peoples comfort in mind as well. So I will say that things like that have probably made it worse for dfurs but they DONT deserve it nor do I believe in the hierarchy (something ive definitely noticed myself)

Though I will say that given the very nature of the furry community it seems even more hypocritical. As such you'd "think" FA would be a far more accepting place, and even more considering that FA is kink central. Not that it justifies anyone judging people over things that doesn't effect them.

I think it just goes along with my view that furries are no different from anyone else. A lot of us act like this fandom is all tolerant and accepting but there are just as many close minded people in this fandom as anywhere else just some furries have a specific sort of close mindedness. A lot of people don't get that being someone who likes to wear diapers and being someone who has a diaper fetish are not the same thing.

It's basically ignorance. People don't take the time to try and understand what something is all about and just go with whatever they may have heard second hand. Personally I have no issue with it at all. As long a you're not shitting or pissing next to me or hurting anyone do whatever you want.

I dunno..there are people who either roleplay or write about or get art done/create art of stuff that a lot of people find morally reprehensible but the fact is if it's not real and nobody real is getting hurt what reason is there to condemn the people creating it or enjoying it? If people are going to assume that being into something 'reprehensible' means you're a bad person just waiting to do said thing in real life then we're all screwed because how many of us watch movies where people get killed or play games where we kill people or read books where someone is murdered and do so so purely for the entertainment value?

Hell the J.K. Rowling and J.R.R. I have no problem with diaper furs. Like you Saud its a kink that does not necessarily need to be taken to extremes. Of course this does have to go with social norms... for example, I am perfectly fine with a fur wearing a diaper at a convention. It is not ok to take a dump in said diaper in public.
