PERFECT FUCKING TIMING
Today;
Another drive seems to be failing, had trouble restarting, had to remove all the other drives and swap cables and try a few times.
The boot screen showed a SMART drive error but not for which.
I was almost done making new backups and was finally getting back to drawing and then this.
I already lost a drive last time, I can't spare another.
A good chance I'd have a new PC built by now if someone else would've helped when I asked, the usual 3 friends barely were enough to replace one drive last summer and stay online.
But of course there were lots of other problems keeping me busy lately too, so this misery will never end it seems.
I can't take this right now.
Just letting you know if I'm away for good, you know why.
PS:
One of the things I needed besides donations so I could do more than pay the ISP and a few replacement parts was needed recommendations on good PC parts people had experience with.
Seriously, I am wasting most of my time not being able to replace this because lack of resources and info, and time because trying to hang on here.
Would someone please respond.

If you share some information about your troublesome computer, I will do my best to provide guidance or recommendations. Pics of the system and its components might be helpful, I'm a visual person. Lets start with what you know and I'll see if I can help without making things worse :)
Been left hanging for months.
Basically back in june 2014, the main drive got screwed up somehow, seems the file index was messed up which corrupted about 5% of everything, I did have backups but I was running low on space so not everything was backed up, so spent months sorting through broken & unsorted files.
New problem is PC had trouble restarting, gave a SMART failure warning but not which disk, so I alternated disconnecting one and tried starting but it kept saying OS failed to load, but the next time I connected the main one it booted fine, so that's why I'm back on for now.
This PC is an old model from about 2004 but everything but one of the storage drives were fresh replacement parts, been trying to make a new PC but nobody recommended parts, and too few people helped me with the costs since I was short due to too many problems.
Savings kept getting obliterated by other stuff breaking and local utilities getting taken over by greedy monopolies hasn't helped.
So the main problem is I'm low on data space again, and need to build a new PC, so recommendations on cheap but reliable parts would be appreciated.
How about your storage space issue? how much do you have now, how much to you think you need and what is taking up all the space? I only ask because maybe a higher performance drive for your system, apps and work would be good and a cheap, slower and huge external would be good for storing and archiving everything not actively in use for your work.
Do you have any specs on your current system (process type/speed, ram, what OS version, drive models and sizes)
Thanks!
ISP is shit so paying around $75 a month for 0.5mbit speed.
Let me check something tomorrow and I'll send you a note.
