Story Time!
So this week, my friends (Nyx and Cotton Candy) and I went werewolf hunting! Supposedly, Nyx had been down this road in our town one night and this terrifying red-eyes creature with a clawed hand and elongated snout chased his car down the road. Of course, when he told CC and I this, we immediately wanted to go check it out. So Tuesday night we went down the road to see it. We turn off the main road onto this really narrow dirt road. There were no street lights or anything, just Nyx's dim headlights lighting our path. After about 30 minutes of driving in complete silence, Nyx decides to tell one of his famous scary ghost stories. As he's driving and telling the story, I am listening super intensely but also looking out the windshield for the werewolf since I'm sitting in the middle of his truck, and CC is listening and looking out of the side window beside me. As the story begins to reach its climax, a creature bursts out of the undergrowth up ahead and runs in front of the truck. It's a little ways ahead so Nyx hadn't seen it yet but I, on the other hand, saw it. Completely horrified, I frantically point at the horrendous creature, no sound escaping my lips as I attempt to warn the others. Nyx, out of the corners of his eyes, sees my exaggerated hand motions, looks to where I am pointing, and unleashes this bloodcurdling scream, alerting CC instantly. As Nyx and I are rendered speechless in desperate relief, Cotton Candy sighs heavily and, in a disbelieving tone, informs us, "You guys....it's just a rabbit."
