I mostly only use Twitter during big events to watch peoples' reactions. Since I am an American, the Super Bowl (which happened last weekend) was one such event. Other than that, I don't really do anything that warrants Twitter (and it doesn't help that my life as a software engineer is not that interesting).

I found having a twitter for irl stuff actually helped me overcome my anxiety a lot when talking to my friends and people I know! It's a lot less pressure than instant messaging (which I'm loads better with now too)
Good to hear. I found Twitter caused me more anxiety than instant messenger because it was public and I was worried about what others would think of me. Even being on here makes me nervous because I feel like people will be more nervous around me if they found out. Yes, I am overly concerned with what others think of me, which is why its good I'm in the software field, where you're allowed to be a bit weird.
