How am I going to sell my radios now?
As I mentioned earlier, I am going to try and thin down my radio collection. I talked with a gentleman I know last night and he had some bad news tonight concerning trying to sell my radios. I have already had issues trying to sell my radios on Craigslist and the auction house near me is super picky about what it sells. This guy has been selling some of his collection through Estes and was up there not long ago to talk with them and test the waters on what I might be able to sell through them. Unfortunately, the news is not good. Basically, Estes is not accepting radios with legs, phonographs, or postwar items, or most consoles. I guess no-one wants to buy them anymore. It looks like the only way I am going to make room and maybe get some cash out of my radios will be to pull the tubes, knobs, and any other small parts to sell, then scrap the chassis and burn the cabinets. This all has me really discouraged right now and I don't really know what to do. My job doesn't allow me much time to travel anywhere to sell anything as grocery stores are pains to get days off that you REALLY need.

And here I am thinking of buying that BIG Sonora up near Cleveland...
Yeah, I kinda find it hard to believe they won't take any consoles either, but I believe the person I was talking to. I have a feeling a glut is forming with so many estates selling here of late.
