I just wanted to rant a bit about how crappy some of the TF2 fandom can be. If you don't want to read, that's okay.

So after I began playing TF2 by myself I started making friends. That would make anyone happy except that one particular "friend" apparently only friended and played with me so that he could harass me non stop for my really rare Unusual Hat. (For anyone unaware of what that means...It's a really rare item in the game that is super sought after as a cosmetic.) After first it was playful banter like "oh hey if you're such a noob at this game, you should give a hat like that to me who's been playing a long time." and we'd laugh and there'd be no more of it. Said person later gave me a free item for my Engineer as a "Welcome to TF2 GIFT". Well last night I had to BLOCK this "friend" because it was supposedly their birthday. I wished them a happy one, they complained it wasn't happy, I say sorry to hear, and then BAM they hit me with, you should give me your hat to make it better, I deserve it since I gave you an item for Engi.

NO. NO to the freaking moon and back. This makes me soooo freaking angry!! I get this all the time too! Every time I'm on a server and some jerk off sees my hat and asks for a trade which I DECLINE, I get bitched out for being "rude" and "a major bitch" and anything under the sun they can call me. WHY? Why is it necessary to degrade someone for not wanting to trade something they like? It's like walking up to a fellow human and going "I want your nice shirt, I'll trade you a few pennies for it" and when they decline you demoralize them with words. It's not okay!!
