What do you think about Japanese people?
I often happen to see words like "I can't speak English well." or "I use translate software." on FA profile of Japanese artist.
Isn't it very Japanese?
Isn't it very Japanese?
FA+

But if you prefer to Japanese people only, the fact I know is most of people I see really worse in English. Someone may sensitive real much and may ignore you real quick as soon as you start English conversation.
So what you found is quiet a good case.
You feel annoying so you have a conclusion like this?
Do you know Pixiv?
Pixiv is a Japanese online community for artists.
I know many people who don't have Japanese as native language have Pixiv account.
Their Japanese is wrong, but I seldom see thing they tell like this.
I was just wondering.
But Pixiv is Japanese-base, so I don't mind. If I can't speak Japanese there so I don't try to communicate and being just a watcher.
If I can, I could say something like 'I can't speak Japaneses well" either.
Simply, this thing happens because doubtful feeling, right?
Your Japanese is wrong and my English is wrong. But we can communicate together.
I think art is more important than language for communication here.
If we didn't draw art, we wouldn't talk together like this.
I still use broken grammar, and it definitely isnt set up as easily as other languages with the endings you would see on verbs for spanish or german.
I want to say Japanese is too humble.
I think we should have confidence, but we afraid of being hated by others.
P.S. I know. Your Japanese is good! X3
but as bulbabenz said there are some of them will ignore you within seconds and some trying to communicate with you
for me it's vary among ppl... depends on their personality...
PS: i found some of japanese ppl can speak and understand english well... you're one of them
"ppl" is "people". I understand it now.
my best friend are google translate, urbandictionary.com and jisho.org for translator and find word i dont know or understand XD
やっぱりインターナショナルのレベルがまだいまいちけど、それは進捗でしょう?
Learning a new language is really hard.
But wasn't so fluent on it Haha
I don't think it's anything bad. English is a rough language that takes inspiration from many other languages, and it's hard enough for us to learn. I think the hardest part is the grammar and pronunciation - Japanese is definitely easier in that regard!
「私」、「僕」、「自分」、「わし」、「俺」、「俺様」、「あたい」、「拙者」、「妾」、「我が輩」
All of these Japanese mean "I".
Can you understand difference?
My friend from Germany said she often finds it confusing how EVERY OBJECT has to have a gender - no exceptions, and sometimes it doesn't make any sense (Wine being female or something, example). Confusing!
I only really recognize the first one - I haven't gotten to studying Kanji just yet ^^;
So I'd have to say no I don't D:
Japanese as a language has always fascinated me, though I still can't imagine how people can pick out and read some of the more complex kanji when they're so small D:
Where it's like, written in smaller text and I have to strain my eyes to see what it is DX
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5659611/ like here, most of the characters are fairly easy to make out, up until some of the raptor's dialogue and it just... Can't make it out xD
I guess it's something that comes from experience ^^
Experience I clearly don't have :P
So yeah, maybe some Japanese artists could try to speak English, but I think it's fine if they don't feel confident.
But, if they are using English, they need not say "I can't speak English well".
This is just my stupid opinion. Never mind.
I'm actually interested in Japanese people as well as other cultures, because even despite the language barrier, your still willing to share some of your practices and bits of your culture with those from the other side of the world, I really admire that sort of attitude. All in all, I see nothing bad about them, very nice and well mannered.
Any person whose language does not use the letters of the alphabet will have trouble learning English. It is one of the hardest languages to learn for foreign individuals.
"The grass always seems greener on the other side of the fence."
I want to go to U.S or Europe.
Funnily enough, I want to visit Japan... And sometimes, people from Japan really like Canada! I guess the idea of being in a new, foreign place is exciting and fun.
often when I speak to Japanese people on twitter I say things like ごめん、日本語が上手じゃない because I'm afraid I might have said something offensive accidentally.
I think this is an anxiety that many people have. Speaking in another language can be intimidating, because it's hard to tell if you've accidentally said something rude. I'm afraid of hurting anyone! ;w;
But we need to overcome it.
Do you come to hate me if I hurt you for my mistake?
Or do you forgive me?
We should learn many things from failure.
Of course, I'd never hate you for a mistake. If we're hated for making mistakes, there's no way to learn!
I'll work harder to overcome this anxiety. There's no reason to be humble, true friends will always show forgiveness!
I think it's rough seeing another language and wanting to know what is being said, but not being able to memorize and learn the language without difficulty.
It's hard only being able to speak one language in today's world.
But I don't agree it, because I find a lot of mistake.
We don't demand perfect English or Japanese.
I think it's important intention they try to learn English or Japanese.
trust me lol
I'd be upset if people got scared away from this site because of the language barrier. I would love to see more artists from around the world post content!
I love your inflation art!
