Any clue what caused the problem?

its not a virus so im greatfull for that, loosing everything would have been bleh!

i was told it could have something to do with the mother board. so im gonna have it checked out.

What all was your computer doing?

not turning on...sort off, the lights are on but no one is home, for some reason all i get is a black screen, first it was shutting down at random times, then after i did a cleaning and unplugged and re plugged both the heat sink and proccesor, i got a black screen. thats about it.

Any beeps from the computer when attempting to power on? If so, you can look up the pattern to determine the exact problem. Could also attempt reseating the RAM, in case that is the problem.
