With what kind of suit would you prefer to have indoor feet?

Like a trophy suit, one that is not ment to have alot of movements

I like having both, though I like having slippers in my paws it can really hurt my feet after a while especially with having back problems. I sort of like having tennis shoes better and plan on getting those on indoor feetpaws when I get them.

I like outdoor paws though since I don't have to worry about ruining indoor paws if i go outside for a breather. :X

That's always why I've made outdoor feet paws. They just seem more practical. Even at conventions I like to go outside in my fursuit.

i really like the look and flexibility of sock paws, but they;re not for everyone
i think outdoor paws and indoor paws both have their advantages

I enjoy both. but i prefer indoor paws or sock paws. To me, theyre very comfortable to wear. as long as they are vinyl or fleece pads on them. silicone actually would cause my feet to hurt, even for my paws that were built on shoes.

I have heard from quite a few sources that silicone paw pads are uncomfortable. Do you think having a flatter design would make them more comfortable for you to wear?

possibly, but i've gone to vinyl pawpads or fleece on all my suits feet paws and pry wont go back.

Does the vinyl get scratched or torn walking outside, or are you careful no to walking outside with them on?

depends on the type of vinyl. marine grade stands up to some pretty heavy abuse, softer vinyls will scratch. I'm also do a lot of dancing and am very active in suit. I haven't had any issues so far with durability or anything.

Built on shoes 100%. My top priority is comfort and support for lots of extended walking.
I'm indifferent about the shoes being removable or not. I can see, if you were to sell something premade, to make the shoes removable so the foot size wouldn't be limited for the buyer.

I like the look of indoor foot paws, seeing the pawpads is adorable.
But functionally I prefer outdoor feet. I don't want to worry about them getting dirty as I adventure outside from time to time.

Would you consider indoor feet paws that you could machine wash if they get dirty?

That would be a pretty sweet bonus!

Would take into consideration the colors though.
If they were lighter colored feet then, even if they were machine washable, over time they're still going to get a little dingy.
Darker colored feet though, I can't argue that :)

I prefer outdoor paws built on shoes. I need something that lasts, and is easy to clean.

i find using water shoes helps in both cases. you get the support but are still flexible and you can add gel inserts for extra comfort. water shoes are designed to dry quickly so its no problem putting the whole footpaw into the wash and they dry the next day.

i currently have this design for some toony indoor feet with floor mat material i plan to change to rubber mat and outdoor feet with silicone pawpads in a realistic fake digigrade.

I prefer sending my own shoes (skater shoes...so comfy, lol). This way you know it fits and is cozy! Also removable is great (like slip on, slip off). Feet I prefer it when the foam and shaping is built on TOP of the shoe instead of in FRONT of the shoe, otherwise walking is way too hard. I'm personally interested in finding new outside feet since my neglect has caused my current feet to be horribly discolored and not match my suit anymore. But I really love my indoor feet with silicone paw pads (little awkward to walk on, but not impossible...I did have one pad fall off though because of how I walk XD ). So indoor or outdoor doesn't matter, I'd prefer to have both if possible! lol Just depends on where I think I'll be wearing that suit more often. For outdoor feet though no paw pad on the bottom. Unless it's done with a material that has good traction...mine have camp mats and I honestly don't care for it (rocks get embedded in them, they can be slippery, and since they're surrounded by fur the fur on the bottom of the shoe is really ratty...I'd prefer the bottoms of the shoes were just one solid thing, if anything with the paw pads painted on or something). If the foot shape has way too obvious shaping that's a no-go (like, each toe is super defined, so it looks like 4 beans instead of toes that blend into a foot). Claws are a bonus, especially if they're a little raised and not too long so it's easy to keep them from hitting the ground and breaking off or getting scuffed up. Having the feet with some fabric room at top a little higher than your average shoe is a bonus, for tucking purposes and making a suit seamless (especially if it's lined! Or at least has a nice seam finish so you don't get fuzzies everywhere, lol). Not too huge that they're hard to walk in. Umm. Yeah. I'm so picky XD

4 of my suits have outdoor soles - using shoe sole material. I love them, no danger of slipping or twisting an ankle. I'm pretty bouncy and active in suit. (Yeah, you've seen that in person)
Shaemus has silicone paw pads over sole material. I would be happier if the heel pad was located under my heel. It's a little far back. however, they show little sign of wear, and he's been in several parades!!

I have a friend who has indoor soles with sewn paw pads. They were getting dirty and worn. I modified the paw pads (made thick ones) using colored flip flop soles, and they stay much cleaner, have better traction, and still have fur in between the pads. This could be duplicated with silicone pads, too.
