Don't fuckin buy an Acer pre built that's a bad time waiting to happen

really? I've had quite a few people recommend the Asus to me. any reason why you disagree? I honestly would like both sides of the opinion on it. :O

It's really based on personal experience, but I'm referring to pre-built machines specifically. If youve got an extra $1000 to throw on a pre built that, when picked out and assembled seperately, would save you about $400 if we're talking a high tier PC.

I don't consider a pc with all the newest and best parts 'High Tier' btdubs just on principle. If you're going to buy the best just to have the best, we call that 'retarded'. Kek keep in mind there's no need to spend over $1000 on a pc bro and you'll be all set.

ASUS not acer I get those mixed up

I always hear time and time again that building your own comp is the way to go desktop-wise. I can never listen to this advice, though, because I don't know squat about computers. I needed a laptop anyway. Then again, computer savvy people say a lot of things. Honestly I don't think getting a pre built would be a sin, it just won't do some things as efficiently. I worked on some of the oldest, unupdated prebuilts and they worked near perfect. Honestly my Toshiba is 6 years old and my only issue with it is the graphics card wasn't up to par so I can't play many high-res games (Portal 2 never could get to the loading screen). So I was stuck with lower games like Half-Life and Zoo Tycoon. Photoshop worked flawlessly. The only reason I got a new laptop was because Adobe no longer supports Vista and I need CC for school. I still would recommend building your own to get top quality, but if you're like me and don't know Jack about hardware and have no comp friends I don't think a prebuilt would kill you.

My ASUS laptop has worked wonderfully so far, but I haven't had time to check on art programs or run games yet. My friend's works perfect on all the Adobe Suite so I think SAI should work too.

I feel I would stick to my laptop, but I fear it will go downhill like my old one with Vista did. my mom still has the dinosaur of a laptop and it's the most irritatingly slow computer I've ever dealt with. XAX;

Might go the route of building one though if I can get a step by step how to from tech savvy folks though. <:V
