To answer your question, I know several people from the con, this will be my 3rd time attending. But I don't exactly where I'm crashing. The main hotel is already booked up. But I always manage to find somewhere to land. It's possible I may end up at the overflow hotel.
The situation is fluid as they say.

I'm looking at the overflow hotel myself. I guess the tricky part for me is by how much I can drop the costs due to an holidays period that proved slightly more costly than expected . Especially while car would have been a way for me to majorly drop costs, a 7 hours and a half drive still represents a lot of uncertainties when we discovered stuff that make me wonder if I might not have to pay a thousand to repair it in the long run.

I'm going! However, I'm not staying in a hotel, as I live about an hour away (by transit) from where the con's being held. It's far more cost-effective for me to bus over every day.
