Hey Velvet, were you still with the royal guard during the Changeling invasion? Do you keep up with any old friends in Canterlot? Also, did you spend Hearts and Hooves Day with anypony special? ;)

Velvet: Yes I was, not our proudest moment to be sure. When Captain Shining Armor's shield went down, the changelings were on top of us before we recovered from the shock or put up any effective resistance. Though we later found out that the changlings knew exactly where to hit us thanks to their queen controlling the captain, it was still a blow to our collective egos. As for old friends, I didn't have many and mostly kept to myself. Sonic Glaive, a bat-pony from my old squad, was the only one I really socialized with (despite his best efforts) and I do write him from time to time. And Hearts and Hooves Day, I'm pleased to say, I actually spent by myself with no interuptions so I could work on my novel. Seriously, I love holidays, but this one I had a perfect excuse to skip, no significant other ha!

So Toma, I hear you're going to be assigned body guard duty soon for a VIP of the Shogun soon. Are you looking forward to this?

Toma: Hmph! Oh yes, baby-sitting some foreign brat sounds like the best job ever. Much more important than protecting villiages and hunting down slave traders. *Grumbles*

Toma, what would you consider your ideal mate?

Velvet, cloth or disposable?

Toma: That's hard to say. I never thought too much about a mate but, definitely someone kind. Quiet, but smart and strong-willed as well. My ideal mate and I would be able to rely on each other no matter what.

Velvet: Erm... d-disposible. C-Cloth is nice and comfortable, but I like listening to disposibles crinkle when I move >///>
