I just checked out the site and none of the scaned figures are up for sale, it looks like they're just being displayed.

A few minutes ago one of those was posted as $60

It's really odd, not sure if that was an error on part of the person posting it or if they're reacting to backlash. It's possible that they're only using a storefront interface so that the people who were scanned can order their figures..? But I honestly don't know any details, this is all just speculation.

They were for sale. Mustve gotten enough emails to take the sales down. Thankfully.

I dunno how long the actually "for sale" pieces were up for, but there's the possibility that they never actually intended to sell them - they may have been bulk adding/uploading the MFF figs to their site and didn't change the pricing from the $60 default to "Not For Sale" when they did so. It would be a dumb move but I've seen similar done before by other private sellers. But again, this is just speculation; I'm honestly curious to see what the company has to say for themselves. Selling depictions of other peoples' characters IS sadly legal so long as you aren't selling rights to the character itself - but it is a TERRIBLE business move and is one to surely get you black-listed within the furry fandom.

(Not to mention it's SUPER CREEPY when it's a 3D scan of you in suit.)

I'm guessing they got a lot of angry messages from the people that own the fursonas unless someone was really bad at paper work and forgot they had already been paid. I'm guessing all of those were prepaid for.

I would also let the board of MFF knoe of this that allowed this company there.
