guys I am also involved in the teddy bear collector world. $150 for a hand made teddy bear is a drop in the bucket. Artist bears can range on average between $200 and over $1000 and higher depending on size and complexity

So true! My partner makes traditional teddy bears, I've made a couple myself - and from the top artists can be hundreds and hundreds. But the work put in is amazing!

I will use this as an example https://picasaweb.google.com/104396.....31159854644146 and yea if you want to use that as an entry in the Plushie of the week if you wish. That is me in the Lonestar Bear fursuit, and I am holding Harvey my Artist made teddy bear. When I bought him back in the 80's he was $80 He was new today, he would sell today for around $350. His current estimated value is $630 So $150 is not that much for a hand made plush

I love this image! And yes, you all are correct. The work, time, effort and materials that are put into plush making is so complex. I've made several plushies, and have yet to charge over $200 (only because I want to keep prices reasonable for those who aren't able to afford them), and I usually spend $50+ JUST for materials, not to mention the time I put into them. For an 18 inch plush character, it takes me around 8-14 hours, depending on the complexity of the character. When you do the math, I would make less than minimum wage at that rate.
