Fire damage

So, long story short, after being a source of problems for a long, long while, my neighbor managed to burn down his apartment. last night. Might be accidental, might be on purpose, might be someone else, not sure.
The good news is, I'm fine. I managed to save all my data and no human being got hurt, and my apartment didn't suffer any fire damage thanks to the quick intervention of the firemen.
The bad news is, our apartment was thoroughly smoked. The whole staircase is black with soot, our ceiling is black with soot, our walls and windows are black with soot. Most of our furniture and clothes are sooted too and I'm not sure whether some of my electronics (including my Cintiq) will make it. Our apartment is currently unlivable because of the stink.
The very bad news is, my cat Nox died. He hid when the alarm sounded and I couldn't find him in time in the smoke. We found him hidden under my roommate's bed. He had probably passed out from the smoke and suffocated. We buried him in a friend's garden.
Now I have to deal with the aftermath of the fire. I might be hard to reach for a while and work will probably be slowed down. I'm not sure how long it will take to sand down the walls and ceilings and refurbish our apartment. I'm honestly not sure I want to live here anymore, despite living here for 5 years. Insurance should cover the damage, but I don't thin they'll be able to revive my cat :'(
See you guys later.

Normal people will understand and will wait.
I know how you feel right now, I really do. Yes, it will be hard. But after some time you will feel yourself better. Sure, you will cry from time to time, but it won't happen from every thought.
Be strong, my friend.
