COST: Bowlers: $14 Non-bowlers: $3 for unlimited sodas. Please pay at the event with card or cash
I only have 36 spots to start(each lane can hold 8 people but cutting it off at 6 unless a group of 8 wants to bowl). I can get more lanes but they will be outside of the private area. If you want to bowl with certain people LET ME KNOW WHO is in the group.
THIS IS A FURSUIT FRIENDLY EVENT.
This is just a reminder/sticky note for everyone Any questions/thoughts/idea please messege me.
HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL
UPDATES:
The event is less than 3 weeks away those that need to request off please do so.
1)ARRIVAL TIME: PLEASE GET THERE AT 7:45. You can get your shoes, get in suit or just get an early start.
2)Between now and MARCH 11 comment or send a message as to who you want to be paired up with. Its best if everyone in the group messages me so that I can confirm. I want to have names and lanes assigned to speed things up.
3)Payment: I am only taking payment at the event cash or card. This is so that if at the last minute you cant come, money never exchanged hands so its easier for me and you.
4)I have to repeat this but outside food is not allowed at the event. Not my rule but the venues rule. They do have some options there and there are restaurants nearby also.
This is just an idea but we do have 3 screens we can control so we can set up music we want or tv. Does anyone want to set up the music for the group?(please keep it family friendly) If not the venue will play the music they have.
RULES:(I hate the block of text so here is an simple version if you just happen to be skim reading)
1)If you drink please drink in moderation. Please have a Designated driver if you are drinking.
2)While fursuits are allowed at the establishment please please dont run and horse play. You already have limited vision so dont do it. This also applies for non-suiters DONT RUN/CHASE each other.
3)The venue has food for sale, unfortunately they dont allow food from outside(only cake is allowed to celebrate birthdays). So eat before the event or during. There are plenty of restaurants near by that you could have a good dinner.
4)NO LEASHES, NO FETISH GEAR, NO OBSCENE GESTURES. COLLARS are ok. We are in a venue with kids and families. Please dont be the one that prevents us from getting another bowling meet set up.
5)SMOKING- GOOD NEWS you wont have to stand out in the cold/heat there is a bar indoors that allows smoking. Take your drinks to be bar snag a table and smoke. Non-Smokers dont worry its on the opposite end of the venue.
6)Please keep track of your belongings. I will have an area for the suiters boxes/bags. Dont bring a lot that will be a hassle for you to keep track of. This does not mean dont bring anything just be able to keep track of it.
7)Lastly any local/federal laws apply. Im sure you know some of them dont break them.

I'll be pared with anyone, I'll probably be really in character though so if someone doesn't want to be with a curious woodland creature then don't put me with them. (Of course they can also just tell me not to bug them)

Curious woodland creature, eh? Didn't know we had any of those running around.

It is kind of hot in Texas for woodland creatures, but if you find the perfect spot with some frost magic, you can feel at home.

In case you missed it, all of East TX is woods. *LOL* Little more urban round these parts, though.

Woods or not, it's hot here.

Hi there... I'm relatively new to the Houston area and noticed your Meetup group, then found you on here. I'm looking to meet some new people and socialize with some furry-minded individuals, and this seems like a pretty cool opportunity to do that. You guys got room for one more at bowling?

OP
Well I should say it's open to all furs but I don't know if someone from another city will drive in.

I'll be there, I don't mind who I get paired with though I would like to be in Tai's
Daglowpuppy group. Question though, sicne we can bring cake, can we organize to bring one to celebrate the bowling meet?

OP
I was going to see what my budget is like and will try to get one for the group.

Well let me know, I'll chip in for the cake. Either a marble cake or a half and half cake would do that way people can just pick between chocolate or vanilla or enjoy a nice mix ^^

Oh, on an extra note, I've got really bad food allergies, along with my stomach just never agreeing with anything, so (I know theres a no foodstuffs rule there) But do you think they'd get mad if a brought a camel back with water and maybe a snack or too? I mean it's late enough that I should have eaten dinner already, but you know water is good.

NiteD

OP
One camelback is ok, but what are we talking about as for snacks so i could ask?

I'd probably just bring a bag of organic trail mix. I don't get very hungry often, but I figure it's always good to have something.
