i think you might try to work on your linework a little! perfectly straight, perfectly curved lines with a fixed width, drawn using the bezier and line tools -- these are okay for things like logos and geometrical shapes, but humans and monsters have a lot of weird edges and weird lines which you're not going to achieve with a strict mathematical formula. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14685531/ if you look at these lines, how they taper towards the edges, how they don't really curve in a uniform way. his eyes are drawn with different line widths, and in his left eye (our right) the lines kind of get weaker in some places for no logical reason. it gives the picture more of an organic feel which is good for character art!

if you're drawing with a mouse, your hands might be a little tied here! personally, before i got my tablet, i drew my linework on a piece of paper and scanned it in. doing good linework with a mouse is technically possible but it's very difficult. i think it's better to trust your hands, your shaky useless hands, and draw with either a tablet or a fine-tipped marker, something like that. your hands eventually get better!

Thanks . I do have a tablet, and was using it for a while, but it's like three years old and sucks. It recently started bugging out, which is about the time started doing stuff with curves. I think I might try doing the line work on paper one of these days
