Money
The mate has started his job at Lowe's as an assembly worker. He is very happy with it as he is able to work with his hands building grills and such; I'm very happy for him! First paycheck was very sad, though, because of orientation being so close to pay day, he was only paid for a couple of hours. The second will also not be a "full" one due to more orientation days followed by a full working week (he gets paid biweekly). A LOT of his paychecks are going into savings so we can hopefully get moved out of my grandparents by this summer.
Housing
As I said, we're still living with my grandparents in our little room. With tight budgeting and good work ethic, we hope that his (seasonal) job becomes permanent and we will have enough saved to find a place by July. We just gotta hold tight until then...
School
I've decided to go back to college for web development. I've already been admitted for fall semester, I just gotta get y financial aid straightened out. I like to do things ahead of time!
Time
At the moment, I take my mate to work, then I go to the library or somewhere else to pass the time. We are typically in town all day and arrive home close to 5 p.m. I eat, I shower, and I usually try to be in bed by 8 or 9 p.m. so I can be up at 4:30 a.m. to make breakfast and get ready to get him to work by 7 a.m. Even though I'm away from home more often, it hasn't affected my social life, but only because it was almost non-existent anyway. XD I do hope to maybe get a temporary job, from March to July/August to get some extra cash before I start school.
Spending
As much as I would LOVE to, I can't commission artwork right now. If I do, it will be very seldom done. Anything my mate gives me each paycheck will go back to help me save for some pet rats when we move out. I have a cage, but the water bottle and wheel I had previously are old and dirty, so if they aren't already, I'll be throwing them out and getting new supplies, including a cute hammock!
Pets
My cat, Etrius, is fine. He's a shit though. A cute lil shit. :3
