I love Wild Nights. I have only missed one year since it began. I can't speak for MFM though, never been to that one. Let's see, some pros of Wild Nights is it's a very laid back con. It's cheap and you actually get fed! The people are awesome and the park is beautiful.
As for some cons. As a lot of furcons (and probably all cons in general) the events sometimes are late. Also being an outdoor con you have to worry about weather. As you may have heard in 2012 there was a tornado. Everyone at the campsite was fine. It just got a little scary. We've also had lots of rain, it is spring after all! So be prepared for anything! Also being down in the valley of a mountain range cell reception is almost non existent. But the nearby town has really good signal as well as several restaurants and shopping places for last minute or forgotten items.

We used to go to Oklacon, but it's just TOO far away. Cheap is a huge plus haha, TFF tends to be our pricey con. The park is a huuuge temptation, I love being outdoors and I've never been in that kind of landscape. Events being late aren't a huge deal to me, I rarely attend panels. Rain/Tornados are a given, since it's Oklahoma haha

Yea I've been to Oklacon as well. Wild Nights is the same price as Oklacon I think. And yea, the park is so pretty. I love going on top of Robber's Cave and just enjoying the view :)

I will be going to Wild Nights for the fourth time . I agree with everything that Shebawolf145 stated above. It is a fun con, also you get to climb on top of Robber's cave.

MFM, its a great smaller con, very laid back, its easyt to see and hang out with your friend, you arent rushing around.. and you get free pizza!!

MFM, small, but everyone makes it feel like coming home to the family you always wanted!

I go to both MFM and Wild Nights, and it is a difficult choice to make.

I will say that if you were fond of Oklacon, then You ill definitely love Wild Nights. Sheba really it a lot of good points.
Not to mention it's really a nice change of pace from hotel cons because you have a chance to get away from all the stress of the city.

MFM is nice because it's location is gorgeous, the people who attend are always so sweet, and there is a lot to do that can kee you busy. If you aren't a panel person then the people there just to hang out with are really great too.

I plan on WildNights this year, for the first time. That's because I went to Oklacon for the first time last year, and fell in love with the concept of a camping con. Hope to see you there, if you're going!

I don't know where you are at but yeah.... The drive sucked toward the end and we were getting grumpy. Still easier than the drive to ATL for FWA though. I loved how laid back and fun Oklacon was and look forward to Wild Nights. I'm taking a year off from FWA due to finances and new job so Wild Nights will be my first (and possibly only) con of the year.

I will say MFM.
However, in full disclosure, I am invested in the convention. Wild Nights and MFM both have different things to offer above the base it is a fur con level. I have heard Plenty of good things about WN, but I can speak for MFM. MFM is a more laid back family feeling con. It does have that "Welcome Home" feel and the attendees are really awesome. Run of the House at the hotel, and Not only Pizza, but Ice Cream, and free Breakfast every morning. So I cast my vote for MFM, oh and a Certain Wolfbear you know and I hope Love will be there. *cough*
