What do you use your mouse for? FPS? MMO? Some thing else?
I've been using the raxzor hydra mmo. I've been using it for a few years. The finish hasn't warn off; unlike every logitech mouse i've ever owned. The buttons are crisp , like Logitech. not spungy at all like MS or steelserires. The tracking and acceleration feels natural. Like the good old days of logitech. Allot like what my MX500, MX518. G400. The mouse has a tone of buttons. The mouse is nice and light. The buttons on the side by default act like 1-0 on the keyboard. A switch on the bottom lets me switch it over to 0-9 on the numpad.
Razors software compliments gaming. I never felt like logitech did a great job of that. The software stores my settings in their cloud. So every time i've had to re-install windows, trying to find my settings again hasn't been an issue. Right click on the tray to switch profiles. It supports macros: recording, editing, play back, play back on a loop.
Well, im more of an fps player but i play alot of warcraft, i've came to hit extra buttons on the mouse... i recently bought a corsair m95... which pisses me the hell off with the extra buttons, i have rather large hands too so my pinky tends to hang off.... im thinking of taking that back tomorrow and trying the m65 as allot of google reviews and such claim its great for dps games :o
Thanks for the reply btw (= didnt think anyone would!
honestly if i could just get replace pads and fix my mx400 i'd stick with that any day....
what games do you play btw?
Well i've been playing pc games for a long time. But the first PC game I got really serious into had to be quake 3 arena. Back then I started off with a 1 button optical. I then upgraded to one of the first logitech usb ball mice, I think it was a MouseMan Pro. Then a mouse man optical. Fallowed by the Dual Optical MouseMan. I think after that it was logitech MX, then mx 500, mx 518, mx700, G5, G400, G500.
There were other mice along the way. Logitech lazer mice have this little nano second of lag. Some MS and other mice, but I was really surprised the buttons were not as firm and responsive as logitech. Some where along the way their mice just started becoming harder to use.
I played way too much q3a. and I went through mics. Back then I wanted 9 buttons, so I cold switch directly to any weapon.
After q3a I started play Mobas, Allot of HoN. It's a shame they didn't go Free to Play at the start. if they did they probable would have become the most popular moba. They were leading in the alpha and beta. That was when they were originally free to play.
After that I got into TSW. And I wanted my left hand free for moving. so I needed a mouse that had enough buttons to handle the traditional MMO casting bar. I played TSW for many years.
HoN was amazing in early beta :3... that game started to get meh when they added there own heros like emerald warden who was just about good all through the game =/
Anyway! back on track, i know this sounds weird but i bought a 2$ mouse that feels pretty much exactly like my mx400, mouse movement wise (im aware of dpi scaling and such) but when i plug the corsair m95 in and downscale the dpi to match it, it just doesnt seem to feel anything close to it...
im thinking of returning the corsair m95 and trying out the m65 due to less buttons and hopefully it'll fill my hand more :X
Right now im currently playing Dota2, warcraft, battlefield 4 and cs:go.... i just want a comfy mouse that comes close to my old mx400 D= man i wish they just kept selling that haha
Thank you so much for your help tho <3
very cute sona also <3
When I was playing HoN. I was like 1700 player. My goto was zephyr, electrician, balthasar, moon queen. Kind of funny, but one of my friends is in the game. Like a whole character was modeled after them. Basically made to get them into the game.
ah if I said. it would 1 make it easy to figure out who they are. and why they made it into the game. and in turn that may cause a few people to figure out who I am. soooo yah lol
I can really relate to what your describe. There really is a feel to a mouse. I can't get any of the new logitech mice into any thing that feels good. For me , when I tried the razor I was really surprise it just felt right out of the box. It sounds like the 2 dollar mouse has similar resolution to what your use to.
Electrician <3... empath was pretty fun too... i played alot of supporty heroes and gankers... Balth was so nice when they released him, HELL ON NEWERTHHH XD
I really wish the local micro center had a few mice plugged in so i could test a few =/ but i think im going to have to go with the coursair 65 or see about the death adder o.o
empath always reminded me of glacius. and both fun to play. Same with electrician. shut them down, let your lane partner clean up. but you could get kills too. Balh was funny. barf on them, then nuke. Like electrician very rugged.
Nah glacius was more aoe slows and freezes if you remember, empath was the one who goes inside of people, buffs them with damage and heals with her beam thing and puts up that purple wall :3
well with glacius you could freeze and then ult. Great combo, especially with a portal key. Free, port in, alt.
I don't know. I just remember with empath waiting for some one to go to the vendor. Then walling them off in the corner. casting synergy, and spam attacking.
