This is why I want a blu-ray player: http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/movie.....mp;show=review
I mean seriously. If you fancy yourself a photographer, the cinematography in this is worth the price of admission! Every scene is as well composed as a fine photograph hanging in a gallery.
It has been my inspiration for over 10 years.

FA+

or was it something different?
I can't wait to see Planet Earth too. My friend has it on Blu-Ray. I hear the resolution is /almost/ as good as going outside. *g*
This thing? http://www.bigscreen.com/journal.php?id=901
Interesting! I've never seen one before! Sounds like a cool bit of gear there :D
I'm surprised I missed it considering I love obsolete and innovative technology. (well, innovative for the day)

My friend has it. I've yet to see it in all it's UBER transferred glory! Supposedly it was some extra special method of xfer over to Blu-Ray so it should be even more stunning. If that is possible. If it is my head may explode while watching it or I just may fall into the TV all Tron-style. XD
You're welcome!
Chronos (also by Fricke) is short but worth checking out!
I'll check Chronos out.
Baraka was the first DVD I bought online. It arrived and I was busy till around midnight. At 2am I relaxed a bit and thought "Oh I should check this movie out" It was a blind purchase after all. I lived in the middle of nowhere at the time so nothing but woods surrounded the house. It was a full moon and I turned off all the lights in the house and just let myself be immersed in the movie. Needless to say I was blown away. I don't think I've ever given another movie that much attention before. It was worth it!
