A warning for new con goers + a proposition + exp at FAU13

I saw a video with Uncle Kage talking about con screw ups so I want to give alittle WARNING to people who thinks they can wing their first con. Some of you will be ok , Some will do what I did. Heres what happened at FAU 2013 :
1- I planned it out in the last minute . Someone should of stopped me but nuuuuuuuuu they did it anyway.
2- I had literally no money , no room , was planning on staying up all night long . The police were kindly going to arrest me but someone offered me their rooms so it was all peachy keen , but do not expect this at all . I was lucky and I felt super bad for being a leach to people . In all honesty , it was like survival shows on the discovery channel I do not know how I did it. I think they also made a rule about this because of me so PLEASE DO NOT DO WHAT I DID . IT WAS A TERRIBLE MISTAKE......... atleast I got a box of games out of it so I used it as a home for three days..... jkjk X3
3- This is connected to number one . Pretty much I had no friends who would want to hang out with so I went it alone besides the people who were super kind to me. Basically I believed that one of the guest of honor Amber Williams was pretty worried at the scene and tried to make a conversation with me yet during that time it felt very awkward due to that fact. The good side to this tho was that I met other excellent people at the con that I have or will never meet again, however to have a fun time , atleast have some sort of clique for those "off hours " in the zoo room.
4- To hide the fact that I had nothing, I signed up for the volunteer to hide my tracks . I almost got shooken up by the director of volunteers and he needed to be concerned of difficulties .I lied and said "meh". This really made me feel bad and I guess I need to say my apologies. as a proposition I can always be the staffs " butt buddy " ( aka asistant ) . It is the least I can do =(.
Did I have good experiences ?Hell yes. Would I do it again ? Not like this XD. This time I would need to plan out shit in order to do things . So to any of my watchers + furiends hear me out . DO NOT LET ME DO LAST MINUTE DECISIONS. WOULD SAVE EVERYONE ALOT OF TIME AND ENERGY.
Overall , fun but need to cut the weight :3
