I sincerely hope that it's passed next Monday, I have a few friends who are looking forward to either getting married here and being recognized by the state, or who have married in another state and have their marriage recognized legally. The one couple who filed for the suit I hope they get to see the ban stricken down and are able to marry here, because one of them is terminally ill with breast cancer, and I'd like to see them married before she passes.

Well our newly appointed governor, and two of our attorney generals fought back with an appeal an hour after the judge overturned the ban. So right now we have the "Three Stooges" trying to fuck over these peoples cases to get marriage equality legalized here, because they'd rather have the state voters decide on the matter rather than a judge. If that happens, Nebraska will be fighting this tooth and nail, and of course we'll be the last damn state in the Union to pass marriage equality.

I was happy to hear Florida passed it, but like I told Dustin above in the comments our fucktard new governor and two of our state attorney generals are trying to piss in the mix and fuck things up, trying to have the state voters decide rather than the judge. Oh well, it'll be a lost cause for them and the voters, a friend of mine has told me that by the end of this year the federal government is making marriage equality legal in all 50 states. ;3

Awwww, thank you Rebel! Well he just recently moved to Indiana for a job, I'm more than likely going to move out there sometime in April to be with him, and same-sex marriage is already legal in Indiana, so that's a plus. ;3
