fursuit! (opinions wanted)

Tax refund came in and I want to use some of it to get a head base, but I am torn between making a black housecat Halloweeny character/ or my serval character OR I have a sweet bat gryphon that would be done on a bird base. Avian or feline why is this so HARD?! Mostly, I'm down to these two because we bought a crap ton of short black fur a while back and we really should make gopd use of it. :3
Black cat/serval would be semi realistic with orange accents, even if I made my serval I dont have ebough time or the right fur to do the spots, so Im leaning more toward Halloweeny housecat.
The bat/gryphon is one I bought from
technojara and would be midifying slightly.
Greenish crescent moon on the back, avain semi realistic head, long bat like ears, and little chibi bat wings (think telephone wings! tiny!), most likely with paws instead of bird feets.
Any opinions I'm stuck!! X.x

I would say the Halloween or Serval :)
After making Tinsel, I know how labor time spots take. >.< Her back has 20 spots, all hand-sewn.
how do you do it?! she has enough spots to make me wish I had an airbrush.
but the sewing, I don't think I have the skill or the patience. haha
I just love cutting and sewing.
You can always make the spots, sew them in and airbrush to make them stand out.
Quitka's quoted suit has spots and airbrush blending.
I would say the serval but it sounds like there are a few too many complications with that. Plus black cats are awesome!
(Currently working on a kestrel/falcon gryphon >w>)
