Well not more than an hour after one of our state judges overturned the ban on same-sex marriages here our "wonderful" governor and one of our attorney generals filed an appeal to stay the ban on same-sex marriage in the state saying that, "it should be left up to the state voters, and not just one judge" to abolish the ban on same-sex marriages in the state. To make things more hectic another state attorney is siding with our prick of a governor and is looking to side with the churches in the state and not the well-being of the plaintiffs who filed for the ban to be lifted. So now while we still have the ban in place, the couples who filed and those waiting to marry have to wait on the ruling from the Supreme Court on the whole ordeal. I can pretty much tell you what the Supreme Court will tell our governor, and they're going to tell him he's a complete asshat. This appeal is nothing more than a smoke screen for our homophobic governor to buy him some extra time, and a big nuisance to the people waiting for equality here in Nebraska.
