Don't get HP either, I work in a computer shop and see a lot of those come in with premature hardware issues.
We like Lenovo, we hardly ever see one of those come in unless it has a virus.

Spec-wise, I'd get a machine with a quad-core processor running at a minimum of 3 Ghz, and 8GB of memory.


But you'll definitely want to put a lot of money into the graphics card. I advise getting an AMD R9 series card because you get more bang for your buck compared to Nvidia.

is there a certain one you would reccomend im bad with this kind of stuff honestly im looking for under 500 if possible i can maybe stretch to 600 but if its less than 500 even better!

In that case, I'd save the video card for later.

You'll definitely want a full size tower to hold the video card, those mini and compact systems can't hold the top-of-the-line models.


I would advise the Thinkcentre M79 with an A8-7600B processor and 4GB memory to start. You can upgrade the memory and video later when you accumulate more money.

And in case you haven't heard of them, Lenovo bought IBM's desktop and laptop lines when IBM decided to only make servers. And the Thinkcenre is their corporate stable model, so I doubt you'll encounter any issues with that thing for many years. ;3

as far as i know its always been slow i havent had it very long it was my first computer back when i was a kid like 10 or so and i just played little games on it but after the years and now that im really using it it just doesnt function on the level i need it too

Get an Asus! They're actually on-par with Lenovo on quality, plus they're always on the cutting edge of design, so they're more forward-thinking than Lenovo as well, not to mention that they tend to be a bit cheaper than Lenovo.
