I am but a lily of the field;

I toil not, neither do I spin.

Yet I put great thought into material things

And wish for means and measures to procure them wit’out transgression

For why should I not want in life,

If but the grace of God provides

And make comfortable my living in the mortal plane

So I shall not suffer until my time?

For though I have none to pay in monetary wealth

Or goods to recoup my debts wit’held

I can instead repay thee in love and companionship

With mirth and merriment, with truth and strength

Wherefore tis not in earthly goods i doth exchange for hearth and bread

But in care and compassion doth my coinage come

So, do not take insult of my lack of labor

and that no sweat nor blood comes from my brow or back

For perhaps not by toiling nor spinning shall I give my part to others

But in camaraderie do i share, and in morality do I have in abundance.
