I like drawing so I got good enough to persuade people to pay me for it. As for children's books, I took a book illustration class in college and loved it! As for cleaning toilets, a lady in the local church community owns a cleaning business with her husband and family so I was able to get a job as a janitor to pay for college and I never left. Haha!

What inspired the phrase "you put a bird on it"?

Look up "portlandia put a bird on it" and watch the video- they did a hilarious skit! I was drawing a bird on my business card in school and my professor told me about it. The rest is history.
