Opinions on nekomimi or really, an kekomimi?

I doubt anyone is going to answer this, but I was geniunely curious what the furry community thought of them.
Do you guys even consider them a furry?
Do you like them or not like them?
If anyone would like to respond to this, I'd really appreciate it because I'm mildly curious.

They're marginally more accepted, as far as I know, and don't have too hard a time blending in unless there're racists or purists about.
Nekomimi are crosses, and, delicious ones. =w=; But now I'm showing my bias.
To me, a furry is anyone who wants to be a furry. They don't have to have a representation of themselves that is an animal to be one; Hell, they could be someone who doesn't even fursuit or draw or anything-- They just consider themselves a furry.
Kinda like how furries, or just in general people on this site have human character of themselves.
I guess I was just wondering if a nekomimi could be a "fursona"
