Was dissapointed to find they haven't done much more than the one video.
Would love to see more "What if 4Kids dubbed it?"
I was gonna suggest that they try to give the treatment to Detective Conan/Case Closed.
I have nearly all the manga from 1 to 52. (there have been something like 500+ episodes and like 10 movies)
Vol. 21 actually starts in the middle of a case in a mysterious castle.
Anita has not only already joined the cast, but she ends up in charge when Conan then Doc Agasa are incapacitated!
According to a footnote in the next case, which takes place on an airplane, it says the story was originally published way back in 1998.
Funnier still, this case is a rare one that showcases Jimmy/Shinichi Kudo, instead of his usual Conan Edogawa persona. (it's a flashback case)
The next (and last full) case is a standard locked room murder, but it marks the first time Conan meets Det. Sato. (who is spotlighted in the keyhole shot on the back of the vol.)
Lastly is the start of another case (I hate the volumes that start in the middle of one case and end in the middle of another!)
that takes place in Tokyo & features Harley.
And in the back, for the detective profile, it's Sam Spade! Aoyama recommends The Maltese Falcon.
Hope you'll look into more of the series, that volume is a decent slice of what to expect from the series.
But can you imagine the 4Kids treatment of a show about a teenager who was shrunk-down to the size of a kindergartener who solves grisley murders?
Well, the victims will probably just be "unconscious" or better yet "trapped in the shadow relm"! And solving the case frees them!
(best of all, theres very little chance of seeing any of the suspects again, so "happily ever after" scenarios where the victim lives wouldn't be too hard to pull off I suppose...)
You said volume 21, so I grabbed that book off the shelf and went through it and found each of the cases that ran through it.
Sounds like you're talking about Rachel/Ran's flashback to her airplane flight with Jimmy/Shinichi.
Usually doesn't have suicide, if there is, it's probably a murder made to look like one.
There was one at a baseball stadium, but that was a bomb threat.
There was one at a wedding that delt with the bride-to-be drinking a caustic soda (aka chemicals)
And certainly plenty of bodies being hidden inside bathtubs...
What do you mean by "girl working on a firm"? that's the only part I can't figure what you mean...
