First off, I want to say thanks to all the kind words I got after Friday's dud of a paw-mail - some of you offered some cool ideas as to what to do if that situation happens again, and I'll definitely give that a try. Most of the time there is an abundance of pictures to sure, but every now and then the offerings get light. I think this time it had to do with a number of good-sized cons all happening around the same time.
One slight pet peeve I do have though is occasional feedback issues with artists. When doing the artists highlight, I tend to put a request out to more than one artist in the hopes that one gets back to me in time. I know life can be busy, and in some of the artists cases, because they're mega-popular, I know my message is one of LOTS that they likely have, but I do find it annoying when I don't hear anything back - especially when you can see via FA's notes that they read the note. :/ Nonetheless, I'll keep trying to get the artist highlight stuff for you guys. If anyone knows good artists who would be interested, please PM me and I can add them to the list of potentials. :)

1st pic: Ohhhhh my (yeah, you can imagine that in a Takei voice if you want). Once and a while a picture comes along that embodies the core elements of what it is to love footpaws - this is one of those pictures! Malice is just completely into this moment, hands working on Zephyr's right footpaw, while the left is pressed to her snout so her nose is between the toes, and her maw at the ball pad to taste. Meanwhile, she's even using her own amazing footpaws to knead and play with Zephyr's breasts. I mean... does it get any better than that!?
2nd pic: HA! The dude's expression is awesome. This beautiful lady is clearly quite happy and able to enjoy herself. I like this one for the unique pose on her right footpaw - you don't often see one raised with the arch and heel up at that angle.

I think Cari's become an almost permanent presence on these lists. And that is a good thing.
1st pic: FoxLightening caught enjoying a little person time. Almost looks like he's raised up that huge, awesome footpaw to try and hide himself! XD
2nd pic: Playful kitty character showing off some lovely big paws.
3rd pic: Mmmf... really like this one - wolf character showing off all the goods at once. That right there is one of my top three favourite footpaw poses too!
4th pic: Yes....a 4th, 'cause Cari's awesome - another beautiful lady with her big feet wearing some cool leggings. I like how Cari has the leggings JUST over the base of the ball pad. Nice sorta tease.

Disney's Little John character takes off his leather shoes to let his big, AMAZING looking feet have some air time. Can you imagine the stunned silence and goofy smiles in that pub if it were full of paw-lowers when THOSE soles came out!? Wow. Just... wow. :3

And one of Evil-Sprite's character Samantha. I like this one in particular for Samantha's expression. It's almost like you were laying there and asked her to put her cute foot on your face and she's going "Ugh... you want me to put THIS on your face? Really?" I do however celebrate it for a couple other important reasons; 1) It's my father's birthday. :) He turns 67 today. 2) A large part of my ancestry is Irish, so it's a day to be glad for it, and think of all the generations of folks, their lives, their hardships and what it took to come to North America from Ireland.
Same with Tokeki's pic here, very similar and quite an enjoyable Toe-POV.

Now one thing that rushed through my snake brain: Feet!
Sorry, no... >__> ...the OTHER thing that rushed through my snake brain: you're doing paw-mails twice a week, tuesday and friday. With you presenting so many "imagination firing pics" *coughs!* per journal, I wonder if it might help to do only one long mail per week or two shorter ones with not as many pics per mail. Perhaps this way you can "save" pics for emergencies... you know, if several artists don't reply to your permission requests, you can use some "older" pics you have in store with the permission to post them.
I had considered that about these mails. Originally when I was doing the paw-mails privately for a couple friends, I did then every day during the week just to catch them up on any pics they might have missed. Sometimes, as such, there was nothing to post. Doing it two days a week for the public one has mostly worked out good in that it's often enough that not everyone may have yet seen the pictures, but not so infrequent that the list becomes overwhelmingly huge. I think if I went to anything less like once a week, it could end up making it too big of a journal to go through.
Looks like I somehow missed Iskra's piece this week... blasphemy. It's so lovely.
Dang-it ToeClaws, stop making me want to draw paws. I need to finish all those finals before I can allow self to do that. On a side note, going to be visiting family over break. May see if I can't get a few good paw photos for reference, especially if Pixie's feet haven't been shaved yet. :) Hope you've been well.
Believe it or not, I almost missed that Iskra pic too; I saw it as a fave on another page and checked then thought "WHAT?! How did I not see this!?" But then again, FA's submissions system for watched pages has been known to occasionally lose some of the posts. Anyway, yes, VERY nice picture for so many reasons.
*snickers* I don't think I"m making you want to draw paws so much as providing a reminder that you already want to yourself. ;) Ha... that sounds so funny "if Pixie's feet have been shaved." Just remember that an anthro's paw is going to be somewhat of a mix between Pixie's feet and your own. If it's digitigrade, then it swings a touch more to the Pixie-side, if plantigrade, a bit more to your side. But aye - finals first! And best of luck with them. :)
Haha yeah, I know. Though it would be an interesting study of what longer fur looks like between toes, especially the curlier kind. Most dogs have got relatively straight or short fur between their toes. Study for variety is good :)
And that's a cool idea; when you think about it, there aren't actually that many paw-pics that show long fur between the toes. Might be something super-cute if you can mimic it. ^_^
