twarda IS T3H FIRST PLACE WINNER!
twardaCongratulations, Twarda! I will note you with details. :)
Thank you to everyone who participated in the 4th Annual Rooth Appreciates Artists Month Giveaway! If you didn't participate, or you're not even an artist, you should still go check out that link and see all the amazing folks who did take part, and just as important, links to the artists those artists admire most. It's quite an array of awesome!
As mentioend in that journal, I said:
I will have runner-up prizes as well. A transparent grab-bag of digital and physical goodies that each runner-up will get to choose one thing from until it's empty. Woot!
The way this is going to work is that I'll set up a "transparent digital grab-bag". This is a fancy way of saying I'll have a list of goodies to choose from.
The 1st runner-up, Temrin, will get a choice of goodies from the list.
The 2nd runner-up, Shibara, will get a choice from what's left.
And so on, until the bag is empty. :)
Thank you all again for participating. I look forward to this event every year now, so you can be sure to keep an eye out for it next year (possibly as early as January).
Cheers!

Congrats to the winners! I'll try again for a 3rd time next year! :P
Actually, there are a few people who have been on every one of the RAAMs who haven't won yet. Mathematically speaking, it's pretty likely to have lost 4 times in a row. Figure a 95% chance of losing each year (it's actually worse than 95% in previous years, because there was better turn-out; #1 and #2 had over 50, this year was 33), and figure if you made it in every time:
0.95*0.95*0.95*0.95 = 0.8145 = 81% chance of losing 4 times in a row.
= 19% chance of winning if you tried 4 times
So you're luck isn't especially bad. :)
Good luck next year!
And you're welcome. :)
