I would love to do several cheap commissions myself, since I need the money to afford my gas money because I yet have a job. There are millions of things I want and a million things I need. I also got in an car accident (minor. I sled, and lightly bumped into another car) and the insurance rose, so I need to pay more. My parents are still paying for me, but I need to start and contribute. so I want a way to make money other than a job, which I thought commissions would be good.

but the problem is this. I know that I don't have enough skills to even dream about getting some commissions done. lined art? blah, sucks, colored? even worse. full color? it's a joke. so I wanted to know how much I should even consider my art for. or should I start it out with an art trade and just get gradually better.

the other problem is that my paypal account is being sort of a B****. It doesn't want to recognize my bank account, so not only I can't request any commissions, in case someone (miracles would only do this lol) decided to want a commission from me, then I can't recieve the money the "safe way." I can do the check mailing thing, but I don't trust the post office for that, and sometimes those checks can be a fraud.

basically, I'm saying this:

1.I need money, and I want to do a commision, but I don't know if I should.
2. pay pal doesn't want to work for me. what can I do?
