Are people viewing and faving them? Maybe ask a question in the description so that people have something to comment about, since you seem to be looking for feedback very specifically. Otherwise I think people assume that you've posted the piece and that's the end of it. When you're as good as you are, I think people aren't picking apart your art for things to tell you to improve on!

Well favourites are sparse as well for the last few months, that's why I wonder. But that's actually a good idea no matter if second account or not.

Do you know I've noticed that?I used to get a few comments and was getting a steady stream of watchers but it's tailed right of suddenly. I thought my work was just suddenly uninteresting. XD

Yes, right? I was always happy about those few comments and now even art i really like gets maybe one :( I'll try to comment more myself as well because it always makes my day to read them. Even a little comment like ' hey that looks nice' would make me happy :( maybe we should make a group, like 'give a comment, get a comment' XD

Do y know it's funny, I really admire your work and have used it to help me improve drawing! And colouring. I never said thank you but I should have. I find looking at your work soothing sometimes.

on all my submissions. Like you, I've noticed a huge decrease in people commenting on my submissions and journals here. It gets a bit discouraging after awhile.

Yes exactly this. It's just really discouraging. Especially when you have a ton of watchers and they don't even fav oo Maybe I'll go through with the new side account and only add people who comment and to whose art I then comment as well, like give a comment, get a comment oo

When I first joined FA, the first group of people I watched were artists I that my then boyfriend was watching. I figured that was a good way to start off.

Then I changed to where I would only watch artists who replied to my comments or who thanked me for faving their work. Kind of a reward system for being nice, polite, and friendly.

After a two year hiatus from FA and drawing in general, I'm now wanting to basically start over again. In so doing, I've decided that I want to encourage others to be more social on here as well as encourage new artists. So my plans now are to go through the list of people who I'm watching and unwatch everyone who is no longer active as well as those who don't interact with me. Then I'm going to go through the list of people who are watching me and will watch everyone who is still active in the attempt to be more socially active with them. My thoughts on this are that if I interact with them, they'll interact more with me.

Once I've done all of that, then I plan on setting aside one day per month (at a minimum) where I spend most of the day on the front page, commenting on submissions, faving the ones I like the most, and watching people who respond. That way I'll be slowly encouraging people on here to open up a bit and be more vocal and supportive towards others.

That is really a good idea, and really nice of you as well! I try to take more time to comment as well, and just watch the people who want to interact with me. I think I will do this with my personal account then, because on here there are way too many people I'd need to go through. ._.

I quietly watch and fave and sometimes honestly have no idea what to say because I am sure after a while seeing "This looks amazing, the shade work is amazing" etc gets a bit boring after a while maybe? Idk

Actually, I realy know what you mean and I always was the same opinion on small comments. But at the moment I actually would love even small comments, because there's like almost no feedback at all, which frustrates quite a bit u_u ^^" Not your fault though, I remember quite some times where you commented on my pieces <3 And happy you would follow me <3 (This account would still be active also^^)

Mmm... Well, I think if you're more comfortable with two accounts in order to keep two separate galleries, you should go with it. I have to say I find quite annoying FA's gallery since there's no choice to create different folders (I've been using deviantART for years, so I guess I find this lack of choice even more annoying). Therefore I'd do it, specially if my style was pretty different when I worked on commissions and when I worked on my personal art. I don't think your style makes such a big contrast, though, but again, it is a matter of preferences.

Anyway, I would definitely watch you on both accounts and try to comment on your art. I know how it feels when people just fave and run, so I'm trying to give more feedback to those artists I like. It is time-consuming, that's true, but I think the effort pays off well. ^- ^

Idk, I hope I made myself clear, I'm a bit sleepy today.

Well.... I had another account for quite a while. But it always was troublesome for me, because nobody did understand, that I am "Isuna" and not "Yuuki" at conventions. >.< I had all my personal stuff on one account and all the other stuff for "furries" at the other account. But... ... it wasn't a good decision after all. That's why I moved to only one account now.

1) Maintenance
You have to maintain 2 accounts. So... Notes, comments, commission-communications and so on. It's hard to handle them both or tell everyone to move to the other account if you're asked for a commission. - If you have to work all day, (like I have to), it's simply a matter of time... For me it was not possible to maintain both accounts. (And my personal one went dead for quite some time).

2) Personal-not-personal-Art
Sometimes it's hard to tell if it's personal or not personal art. For example, if someone asks you to do a commission with one of your characters. XD But that's just a minor problem. The bigger problem is, that you'll split the artwork and so your gain for new watchers will slow down, because not everone will watch both accounts (and that's only because nobody ever reads comments, journals, the front page or descriptions. XD )

3) Well...
In the end it's a decision of your own. It's good to split your artwork from those you'd prefer to not show the furry-fandom that watches your main account. But it always has a good side and a bad side. So... it's up to you. :)
I made up my descision in the end, but that doesn't mean, that you'll need to do it as well. :)


I will watch both accounts anyway, because I love every piece you do. I just... don't write down critics, because I think nobody would like to read something like this. ^^;
