I like this site, I've been here since the beginning. They've made a ton of retarded decisions over the decade or so of its life but I dunno, I would be pretty sad if it went away. It's home-y to me.

Also I wouldn't call Weasyl "massively better" really, it has a lot of kinks it still needs to work out. And IB is probably objectively better but good luck getting rid of the prejudiced misconceptions about its "sole" content.

I apologise, I didn't word my comment very well, it was a bit spur-of-the-moment.
By "Massively better" I was thinking how IB and weazyl have interfaces that are, at the l least, more up to date then FA. Weazyl has a lot of growing to do (cropped thumbnails?) but it may surprise us.
And yes, it's unlikely anyone would want to go to Inkbunny. Which personaly I never got because you have the ability to block keywords, running a couple content names through it would mean none of them would ever bother you. Maybe it's more a matter of principal?

Probably principle, yeah. That whole debate back then was really enormous and was really the first time people left FA en masse. Posting there now still means that you're posting on a site for pedophiles for some, which is ridiculous.

It is indeed rediculous. The truth is the being into cub doesn't make you a pedophile anymore than being into snuff makes you a murderer. But try telling that to a good portion of furries. Same as with this IMVU crapstorm. So many jump to the most alarming conclusion.

This place (and DA) were the first proper art sites I found... I really don't see why folks bitch all the time. They're loads better than Hentai-Foundry and ... crap... I haven't been on the first one in so long that I don't even remember it's name... it has the same set up as Hentai-Foundary but it's meant for tame-art. Either way, both had nothing but absolute SHIT all over. Maybe a handful of good pieces of work, but just shit, shit, shit and more shit, everywhere. Like, MSPaint, 5 minutes, and an epileptic monkey type of 'artwork'. Furaffinity has decent quality stuff, sure, it's got some issues (I can think of a few ways to improve the browsing and search systems, and really, we only need one of those since the way it is now they serve basically the same purpose) but hey... I can find what I want if it exists on here, be it a dragon getting it's cock stuffed with eggs or a girl being dressed up as a cat for some lovings, or anything else. So really... There isn't a lot to bitch about, there's quality works that people put time and effort into, you can find it if you take maybe more than 5 minutes to learn how the system works, and it's free.

I think the site you were thinking of was SheezyArt, whose decision to get rid of adult furry art led to FA being created in the first place.

Doesn't sound familiar... but Then... I haven't been back there since... '07? '08? It's been a long while. Either way, Like I said, I don't really see why everybody here complains and jumps ship. This place seems ace compared to some of what I ran into when I was just starting to explore art and the internet both in tame and mature senses.
