Whenever i like something, i have to commit to it more than i should. In MegaParsec, for instance, i need to look at the entire universe objectively, so i can't use years in the traditional earth sense, and i decided to use the metric system (Because Imperial is just horrible) so the one thing that I've had the most trouble with so far, is making a metric calendar. Do you know how fucking hard that is to do? I've tried to make the days, months, and hours and such make sense, but it was pretty much impossible. Then an idea popped into my head, and it was "Who needs days or months when your in fucking SPACE? all i need is seconds." Henceforth, the new metric calendar in MegaParsec, is 100000000 seconds long, which is about 3.17 years on earth, so the year 50 SA is around 159 years on earth, making space bearing technology available at around 2141 AD, and perfected from there on.

I will always stay this way, because I believe the more I can explain, the more in depth it's possible to feel.
