... It's time for some laughter! And this made me have a gigglefit!

On a slightly more serious note though, I believe (and this is purely guesswork, as is everything else on the subject) that IMVU has bought FA in order to gain favour with the community and as a sort of PR/marketing stunt. For the latter purpose, it has definitely worked, if there was anyone who didn't know about IMVU, they sure as hell know about it now. With the amount of talk there's going about, forum topics like these, undoubtably facebook, twitter messages and all that shit, they are gaining a HUGE boost to their exposure. In this respect, positive or negative reviews don't matter too much, people know about it, they talk about it, they expose others about it and so new (paying) members will arrive.
Once the marketing stunt is over, talk starts to die down and the innitial boost is gone, IMVU may wait for a bit to let the emotions settle, then start to make their move towards making more money out of FA than just through add revenue. Slowly the TOS will be changed to fit the company and let the monetizing begin. Sales of posted artworks (in one shape or form), offering premium membership, I can definitely see all of that coming in the future of FA. They will be adding these features slowly though, and introducing them as upgrades, sweet-toothing it to make it seem as if they do have the best interest of the site at heart.
I'll be staying with FA for now though, I've gotten too used to it by now, and I'm curious how this will develop and whether my guesses and estimates turn out to have any grip on reality or no. That, and all the drama is making me shit my pants from laughter. XD

I also just noticed, I've got over 20k page views over there, yet not uploaded anything for years! Damn, that's a lot for an inactive account pretty much. Oh well! Maybe I should start uploading my stuff there as well.
