I think leaving over an announcement is a little premature. I am going to wait until the website actually changes. Maybe it will improve?

Thing is, IMVU does not have a good record. Even if it is true that all they want to do is run their affiliate ads on this site, their affiliate ads tend to come with a shit-ton of imbedded malware. So yeah, I think people should be...what's the word...cautious?...wary? I don't think we should just jump right in with trusting our new overlords.

But at the same time, I don't think there is any point in being over-reactionary.

I tell you this though. I no longer trust Neer's judgment with anything, and if he's really being left in charge of the site at the behest of IMVU, we can probably expect more bad decisions...just now there'll be someone else he can lay the blame on, besides himself.

Truthfully if that's his game he couldn't have chosen a better scapegoat. I'm not aware of anyone that actually likes IMVU.

This site has been on a downward slope for three or four years now. I just hope this site never becomes a subscription based website. That would be the end of Fur Affinity for sure.

You're probably right. Fortunately, we do have viable alternatives now.
