i barely use FA to network or to keep in touch with friends, because i dont have many furry friends (...like.....2), and ive been in the fandom for 10 years....not that i would be opposed to making new friends, or becoming better friends with the people i'm watching or whatever....but i mostly use FA as a repository for the few furry pieces i have, and to browse other peoples art, because there are some amazingly talented artists on here. i took a veryyy long hiatus from the fandom since ive been married. my wife is not a fur and has very little interest in the art, the scene, any of it. since we are separated now for exactly the past year (we broke up 3/14), i think i might get back into the fandom a bit....even though i dont really get along with most furries. i find them a little too....stuck in their ways, maybe boring and pretentious, self-righteous....but ive met some incredible people on IRC, FA, deviantart, the -one- convention i actually bothered to go to (furfright 07, i think it was), and i am the definition of "burned fur". im hoping to get more active in the scene again, see if its any better this time around. i'm really artistic and creative, but unfortunately, none of my artistic projects have anything to do with furry. i like to make paper, calligraphy, pressing flowers....i ike graffiti and stenciling; i stencil paw prints fucking everywhereee X3 ...i guess id like to figure out how to incorporate my talents (or at least my potential talents) into furry art....but im not exactly sure where to start. :/
