Stop being entitled brats

Not calling out anyone in particular, I just have gotten entirely too frustrated with people over the course of the past few days.
So this is the first time in what must be 4-5 years where FA drama hasn't lead to me a lot more work. Either I was a mod/admin on FA and doing damage control, or as an Admin on Weasyl and playing clean up or making sure all the new visitors had information.
For Weasyl in particular, there's always a joke that the staff must love when FA had a problem. I can't speak for the staff but for myself the answer is "not really". There wasn't any dying urge to kill FA or see it die. It was all about building up a site that was helpful and one people would be happy and want to use. The focus was always inward, and other sites came up only in regards to caring for our own users, as in "People seem really confused about X, oh they might be used to Y policy on FA let's think of a way to make X policy more user friendly to get them used to it" or more likely "we have a lot more activity, oh they are coming over from FA"
I know some people saw it as a dick move that an announcement was posted the day everything went down, but think about it this way. It's not about shaming FA, that would have happened no matter what site may have been involved. From the admin point of view it's suddenly thousands of people that want to use the site and upload, and they may not want to look around for all the info needed.
If any other site prompted thousands of users to show up to Weasyl the response would be the same. It's not personal, it's admins doing what they can to keep people informed.
Anyway about the actual IMVU stuff. Personally I have my concerns, which I have for any business merger with a service I use. It's new management and because I don't have the luxory of reading the fine print I don't know what is and is not legally allowed to happen.
This doesn't mean that FA is required, or even should show the terms of sale. That isn't how business is done and it's a bit of an entitled and silly request. Not that it doesn't come from a good place, people are scared and want reassurances and it's simply the point where announcements aren't trusted enough, but still, did you guys expect to see the terms of sale when Disney bought Marvel or Star Wars. Probably not. This isn't different.
All that being said as far as IMVU goes. I am on Weasyl, I'm going to use it as my primary and post things there first, but I'll still be on FA a bit, less as time goes I think. I just don't trust management that much, old and new. I dunno IMVU, I don't care for their business model, and seeing as they are in charge (even if Neer is the employee running the show on FA) I don't care to put all my eggs into the admittedly large and lucrative basket that has a few holes in it.
This isn't meant to be a big "Move to Weasyl" post. To be frank, do as you please. That's the point of this people need to stop being dicks on both sides and feeling they are entitled to someone else's presence.
Honestly this is a website, not a prison. If someone wants to leave their reason doesn't matter. It could be over IMVU, it could be because they don't like FAs font for some reason, it could be that they saw a picture of cheese and couldn't take it anymore. The reason is irrelevant. You might personally think that's a terrible reason, fine. Don't use that reason to leave the site then, but that doesn't mean the other person can't.
"But it's just drama and it will die down"
Maybe, maybe not. Doesn't matter really. Someone made a choice about what they want to do and if it isn't hurting you it's not really your concern. If you disagree with a fact they used like "I'm leaving, FA ads are only for corporations now" you can correct and incorrect fact without being a dick, but otherwise just let people be.
"But I don't want to use multiple sites"
Then don't. It's another person doing it, that doesn't mean you have to.
"But I like seeing what they post"
Well then hypothetical user. You either like it enough to check it out someone else, or you don't. That's on you, not on them. You're not entitled to the convenience of everyone you like to watch sticking around for your whims.
"But they're my friend and I want to see them"
No.
If someone is a friend you'll find a method to keep in contact. email, twitter, skype, whatever. If you only use FA, at all, ever. Branch out to actually contact your friends, your'e not entitled to other people.
"But Fa is the furry fandom hub, and they're going to break the community up. Furries need to stick together"
I hate this line of reasoning, I really do. There was a fandom before FA, there will be a fandom after. The community is not so weak that a single site is the be all and end all. FA will fall sometime. Maybe next week, maybe in a decade or two. That's just how things go, but the fandom is not going anywhere.
"But I like this site, and if everyone leaves then it won't be as good"
Time is change, adapt or die. Enjoy the site if you like it, but you can't expect others to stay if they don't want to.
and on the other side.
"I hate FA and i'm leaving to X site. Anyone that stays is stupid"
No, people stay for different reasons. Some financial necessity, some for friends, whatever. Doesn't matter. It's their choice and if it doesn't hurt you then just move along.
That's it. That's my rant in all of this. People need to stop being entitled brats. They also need to stop making shit up or spreading info if they don't have the source.

FA+

also, this post reminded me that I need to be more active on Weasyl.. people are a lot more level headed there
Sadly, I have already left weasyl for the point of your h
Journal as well as reasons of my own. I even left a journal there explaining things
Oh man, the comments from people on this subject were absolutely ludicrous. "We're a community, not a business! We should have been able to vote on whether or not we want this!" Could you actually imagine if one day there was a site announcement that posted the buyout offer from IMVU, and a strawpoll link for how we all felt about it? Top it off with the whole ridiculous notion stemming from a pure falsehood, because FA was incorporated because you'd have to be a special kind of stupid not to form an LLC for a site this large.
