You will most likely have to whitelist it through the registry or you can get Google Chrome's group policy script and do it from there.

Though if this entire addon depends on download servers it'll probably stop working in the future. Or if FA itself changes and brakes it.

comrade28 I would suggest that you could possibly sometime release it and future versions on GitHub as .crx files so people could still install.

You can download it via Chrome, but you have to go to Downloads page, start download again and click that you REALLY want to save it.

ok nevermind, I see that it checks for validity proof on the store and then instantly removes it.

But this can only allow you to quickly open all images in tabs and add a download link in front of the title. You still have to save things one by one.

thank god i still had this installed. Google took it off but i was able to re enable it. They are cracking down on a lot of media downloaders

It's a good extension and I've used it on several occasions, however now Google says this extension violates their terms. Thankfully I can still turn it on but otherwise it's pretty frustrating.

Or you could just click on the download button of every artwork, as far as i know, this new site update also added an instant download mechanism to the images just like DeviantART did when they moved their servers to be hosted on wixmp

also if you still struggle with all those tabs opened, i recommend using "Save Tabbed Images", an extension on chrome very useful to download all images opened in tabs at once from any sources

Do you have a solution/recommendation for downloading images from a search? I used acefloof's furaffinity downloader, but, like most downloaders, FA broke it yesterday.

Hmm, unfortunately not, i wish i could say i did, but i only knew about FA Downloader, which indeed broke now that Furaffinity updated the site and the app is no longer on the store so never going to be updated again, we can only hope a genius makes a new downloader for FA like ace did

That is nice, but it's written in C#, not very convenient for users that do not uses Windows as operating system, it's why most usually seeks browser extensions

Yeah, the extension doesn't work anymore. Whenever I try to download from a page, it says that the images were removed or put in private, and it downloads zero images.

The important is we have our own solution for mass ddl on FA <3

I've been using it and it's not complicated, since it has a convenient GUI. Just put the gallery/scraps link in the first box and you're good to go.
It can also open text (*.txt) files with links to several galleries and download them in sequence, which's what I usually do: I create a new text document, copy and paste all the links I want inside it and open it with Furdown, downloading everything at once.

Works on FurAffinity, Inkbunny, DeviantArt, e621 and more! It can also download the file description, but not in .html, as FADownloader did... Raccoony download in .txt, but it's also good. You can use it on Chrome (and based browsers like Opera) and Firefox.

I tried it now and the extension is still working. You can configure the automatic download of opened tabs, so you don't have to download them one by one (only if you think it is safer... or if your browser may crash if you open 24, 38 or 72 tabs).

I recommend these basic settings, to work just like FADownloader.
After installation, open an FA Gallery and click on the Raccoony icon on the left side of the page. Mark all options as "GLOBAL" and then click on "Global Settings" to change them:

Delay between tab loads: "2 (or 3)" seconds
Download path: raccoony/{siteName}/{author}/{siteFilenameExt}
Right-click menu download path: raccoony/{siteName}/{author}/{siteFilenameExt}
Save metadata file: ON
Automatically download opened submissions: ON

After that, any pages you open on FA or any supported site will be automatically saved!

To anyone using the program "Furdown", I've given it a try and it seems to be unable to successfully download my Submissions set. After 40 minutes, it is still getting pages, pages which cannot possibly exist. I'm going to let it go another few hours, just in case it's somehow having weird issues and is waiting to toggle over. If anyone happens to have a functional one-button alternative, please let me know. While I have (and have used) Raccoony, I'd prefer to not have something that consistently steals focus from everything else while working, plus does not require me to hit enter to save the (for me literally thousands of) submissions that I own, page by page, in batches of 72.

I've been using Furdown so far and I've managed to download many galleries with it without a problem.
It accepts links to gallery and scrap pages, like if you put https://www.furaffinity.net/gallery/goblinko/ or https://www.furaffinity.net/scraps/goblinko/ it'll work like a charm.
It can also download individual pictures.
Also, make sure that you're downloading to a valid folder, otherwise it'll fail.

Will it successfully do so from a Submissions page? If so, I'd be quite happy to give it another shot. I appreciate the information about a valid download folder, too. Until now, I've been making use of Racoony, and, while it works, it's a mite inelegant with how hard it focus-steals.

I've checked it out, and yes it works. It may take a while, though, depending of the size of your submissions stuff.
Mine has been on 1340 and counting.

You can also put the links of galleries all inside a text file and open it with Furdown, and it'll download everything. It'll only "annoy" you when the downloads are over. Other than that, it'll download everything on its own, and you can move the window elsewhere.

Just installed this recently and it still works. I may have to re-enable it on occasion because Chrome sees it as a security threat but it works, I literally just used it to download a gallery.

I tried to import the extension to my chrome browser. But the unzipped folders just disappear if I manually import to chrome and nothing is imported.. :( any advice?

Hum I don't know... maybe put the extension folder directly in your chrome extension folder?
Or maybe lauch chrome in admin?

Just went around to crx4chrome to redownload this extension and enable it via unzipping it & loading it unpacked in developer mode.

I have to say, to most people it may be minor, but my absolute favorite thing about this extension that no one else has done is that it sets the modified date of the files downloaded to the upload date/time and it makes things incredibly easy to organize. Thank you for making this!

Sadly, the extension doesn't download anymore.. Files url have changed so the extension cannot retrieve them.... That sucks!!!

I use this by running an older version of Chrome 84.0.4147.105 with updates disabled on a seperate laptop with an external hd for the downloads. https://www.crx4chrome.com/crx/9773/ this version works if you're willing, I don't like any of the other downloaders I've found. To disable the update after installing an older Chrome go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Update and change GoogleUpdate to GoogleUpdate1. I suggest using this on a side/backup device and not your main one unless is doesn't bother you.

so around beginning of Feb, FA changed submission url structure to have d.furaffinity.net/art/ instead of d.facdn.net/art/. causing FA downloader to fail to parse download URLs.


point is, I was able to edit the extension (within core.js & a code de-obfuscator) to allow for this but now it just downloads a jpg of a red X in place of every image. the filenames are correct, but all the content is just X.

the worst part is i nuked my submissions before double checking the archives contained real files

if you read my comment, I haven't actually fixed it. instead i am using the above suggestion https://github.com/crouvpony47/furdown to download whole galleries. It works well, the only caveat is that you must use the modern FA theme, not Classic
