Thoughts on IMVU and FA

Thanks to Twitter, I got the information pdq while at work. I admit, I might have flipped a table or two. However, I wound up boiling things down to one simple little phrase: Wait and see. That's pretty much my stance on the whole she-bang.
I'll be honest, I'm very felinesque when it comes to websites I log into. I had to learn and accept this about myself. Even if they rock the boat, it's going to take a lot for me to want to go through all the time and effort to learn a new website and move everything on over. It doesn't help that I've been on this site for nine years now (holy crap has it really been that long? o.o). I'm settled, I'm comfortable, and so far nothing's happened to buck me off.
That being said, a new owner is sort of a big deal. So I'm going to be poking at Weasyl (which has a great friend of mine that's not on FA anyhow :P) as well as SoFurry. Once I have accounts set up, I'll post a journal here with them and add them to my journal footers (need to update those anyway). Chances are all my writings will be heading to SF and all my artwork will be headed to Weasyl, with freebies going on over to my DA account. Most personal updates go to my twitter, so I might even post my twitter account in case anyone wants to follow. Nothing's written in stone yet, so we'll see.
That's about it. Just going to kind of hang out and see what IMVU does. The ball's in their court.

As much as I like this site and its simple layout...etc, the whole thing with IMVU has me unsettled to the point I don't want to post here. It's something we can't just ignore the new captain at the helm and this site will be the same like when I join - nearly 5 years ago.
We as artists...can't protect our artisti rights and artwork. They can take and use it without our consent...when that's not right at all.
I want to protect my artistic rights and artwork.
Until I know it's 100% safe and in writing that our artistic right and artwork is protected if posted on this site...forget even posting.
I've already 2 characters stolen and resold - I got them back - thank heaven - and the thief was dealt with, but this whole thing just opened our art to a wider audience...more character and art theft is bound to come.
The unknown when they change that little part without letting us knowing.
